A Train conductor (known as a guard) is in charge for either a passenger or goods train. This person blows their whistle when it is time for a passenger train to leave the station. They can also sit in the brakevan when it's on a goods train (or a composite coach for passenger trains), where he can apply the train's brakes in case of an emergency or situation. The guard has two flags, one red to "stop" the train at a station or "danger" meaning something must be wrong. The other flag is green which means "all set" when the train is bound to leave the station.
A guard's uniform is blue pants, a white shirt, a black tie, with a blue jacket over them, and a blue cap with a black brim and brass plate.
