Annuals were made on original stories of Thomas the Tank Engine and some came for the Railway Series combining with the television series. The first two annuals features railway terminlogy and railway history, but were published in both 1979 and 1980. Later on, Christopher Awdry created annuals from 1985-1993. The 1994-2001 annuals were with originals until in 2003-2014, they will have stories featured on the television.

The First Two AnnualsEdit

Both 1979 and 1980 were guides on how Thomas and the Railway Series came to life in the first place. In the very first annual, this features both Sodor and the United Kingdom showing off their railways and history of their engines in the Railway Series. The 1980 annual was the last one to have a guide and features about real railways and other things. These include games, terminlogy of railways and the history of them.

All of these feature:

  • Introductions
  • Meet an Engine
  • Games
  • Riddles
  • Quizzes
  • Real Railway Features
  • A Diary of Railway Dates
  • Railway terms
  • Models
  • Information on British Railways
  • Modelling
  • Thomas' Branch Line
  • Thomas' Alphabet (characters from A-Z)
